Wisconsin's First Solar Module Manufacturer Opens Its Doors

MILWAUKEE - February 28, 2011Helios USA, LLC, a solar manufacturer located in Milwaukee's Menomonee Valley, announces the opening of its new manufacturing facility at 1207 West Canal Street. To mark the occasion, the company will host a ribbon-cutting event on February 28 at 3:30 p.m. to showcase its focus on renewable energy and the creation of green jobs in Milwaukee."MilwaukeeHelios is already manufacturing panels and is fully operational with panels already being shipped locally, regionally and nationally.  The company expects to create more than 50 new, permanent clean energy jobs. , Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Secretary Perez and other state and local officials, as well as renewable energy industry leaders, are expected to attend the event.
