Diese bildet den gesamten Lebenszyklus eines Artikels ab. Ersichtlich ist, wie viel Treibhausgase das Produkt insgesamt verursacht und wie viel Prozent bei der Herstellung, der Distribution (Transport und Logistik), der Nutzung und der Entsorgung anfallen. Die Idee der CO2-Bilanzierung stammt vom Ökozentrum Langenbruck.
