Es kommt zu «Wärmeinseln», die Stadtklima, Komfort und Gesundheit der Menschen belasten. Im neuen Windkanal der Empa und der ETH Zürich lassen sich Wind- und Wärmesituationen in Städten simulieren und Möglichkeiten erproben, das Stadtklima auf natürlichem Weg zu verbessern.
