    (Exportinitiative) Panama gilt im zentralamerikanischen Vergleich als Land mit sehr guten natürlichen Bedingungen für die Nutzung der Windenergie. Erste Windprojekte mit einer Kapazität von 500 MW werden derzeit realisiert. Nun plant die Regierung, die Windenergie mit einem neuen Gesetz stärker zu fördern. Die Nationalversammlung stimmte einem entsprechenden Gesetzentwurf in der vergangenen Woche zu.
