    (PM) Mit rund 15 Gigawatt (GW) neu installierter Photovoltaik (PV)-Leistung verzeichnete die internationale Photovoltaik-Industrie 2010 eine Verdoppelung ihrer Absätze. Zum Vergleich: 2009 betrug der Zubau 7,1 GW und 2008 wurden weltweit etwa 5,7 GW installiert. Damit war das Jahr 2010 eines der bisher erfolgreichsten der Branche. Enorme Preissenkungen im Jahr 2009 und die positiven Effekte internationaler Förderprogramme trugen massgeblich zu dieser Entwicklung bei.
