    (ISE/ISI) Weltweit ist derzeit ein starker Ausbau der Kapazitäten von solarthermischen Kraftwerken zu beobachten. Bis dato werden diese Concentrated Solar Power (CSP)-Kraftwerke vor allem in Südeuropa und den USA errichtet, obwohl Nordafrika und der Mittlere Osten global das grösste Anwendungspotenzial und damit die grössten Chancen für diese Technologie aufweisen. Die Region kann in Zukunft wirtschaftlich sehr stark vom Aufbau von CSP- Kraftwerkskapazitäten profitieren, wie eine neue Studie von Fraunhofer ISE und Fraunhofer ISI im Auftrag der Weltbank herausgefunden hat.
