(PM) Die BKW FMB Energie AG (BKW) hat im Auftrag der Einwohnergemeinde Laupen an der Mühlestrasse achtzehn Strassenleuchten mit Quecksilberdampf-Lampen durch Strassenleuchten mit lichtemittierende Dioden (LED-Leuchten) ersetzt. Dadurch kann der Stromverbrauch dieses Strassenabschnitts um ca. 60% reduziert und die Ausleuchtung der Strasse und den teilweise beidseitig geführten Trottiors entscheidend verbessert werden.
