Der Stromverbrauch einer Waschmaschine wird zu rund 80 Prozent durch das elektrische Aufheizen von kaltem Leitungswasser bestimmt. Grundsätzlich gilt: Je weniger Wasser eine Maschine pro Waschgang benötigt und je tiefer die Waschtemperatur, desto kleiner ist der Stromverbrauch.
