La misurazione dell’intensità del vento si può fare senza l’installazione dei torri di monitorizzazione. Utilizzando il dispositivo LIDAR si può monitorizzare temporaneamente, per 2-3 mesi o meno, i parametri di vento. Questo dispositivo è come un piccolo contenitore e funziona sul principio di un radar. È utilizzato addizionalmente nei luoghi inaccessibili o nei posti dove l’investizione per un torro permanente non è opportuna
