    In cazul unui cutremur, Bucurestiul va fi unul dintre orasele cele mai afectate. Asta spun specialistii dupa ce au studiat solul din Capitala. Potrivit specialistilor, cutremurul din 1986 a demonstrat ca zonele Bucurestiului sunt afectate diferit in timpul unui seism.

    Hartile realizate la Universitatea Tehnica de Constructii Bucuresti arata ca partea de nord si sud-vest se misca mai puternic, pentru ca acolo este un sol argilos, dar durata de miscare a pamantului a fost mai indelungata in sud-est, unde structura straturilor este alta.
