    Expertii suedezi au descoperit o solutie ingenioasa pentru depozitarea deseurilor provenite de la centralele nucleare. Este vorba de recipienti uriasi de cupru care vor fi ingropati la 500 de metri sub pamant. Proiectul este unic in lume si ar putea ajuta autoritatile nipone sa treaca peste dezastrul nuclear de la Fukushima. 

    Tehnologia elaborata de expertii suedezi propune depozitarea reziduurilor radioactive in recipienti de cupru, la 500 de metri sub pamant. Deseurile vor fi inmagazinate sub o stanca veche de doua miliarde de ani. Expertii spun ca depozitarea deseurilor radioactive va fi asigurata pentru 100.000 de ani. In plus, va rezista cutremurelor de orice magnitudine si chiar unei eventuale Epoci de Gheata. 

    Dupa aprobarea proiectului, Suedia va abandona actuala solutie provizorie de depozitare in bazine de apa. Aceeasi varianta care a esuat dupa cutremurul din Japonia. 

    Dezastrele de la Cernobil si Fukushima reprezinta motive in plus pentru ca acesta varianta sa fie adoptata in toata lumea.
