05Energia electrică netă generată de Grupul Enel în 2010 a fost de 290,2 TWh (+8,4% fată de anul anterior), din care 81,6 TWh generati în Italia Ai 208,6 TWh în străinătate.
Centralele Grupului din Italia au generat 81,6 TWh, în comparatie cu 84,0 TWh în 2009 (-2,9%). Această scădere este atribuită în special scăderii generării de energie în termocentrale (-2,4 TWh) si hidrocentrale (-0,3 TWh), compensată partial de cresterea generării de energie eoliană (+0,2 TWh). Cererea totală de electricitate în Italia a fost de 326,2 TWh în 2010, o crestere de 1,8% fată de anul trecut, în timp ce importurile nete au scăzut cu 1,0 TWh (-2,3%).
Productia netă din străinătate a Grupului Enel a atins 208,6 TWh, o crestere de 24,8 TWh fată de anul anterior (+13,5%). Această crestere a fost atribuită în special contributiei mai mari a Endesa (+16,6 TWh), datorate schimbării metodei de consolidare. Printre alti factori care au contribuit la rezultat se numără productia mai mare în cadrul Diviziei Internationale, în special la compania rusă Enel OGK)5 (+3,7 TWh), la companiile din Bulgaria (+0,9 TWh) si la Slovenské elektrárne din Slovacia (+1,1 TWh).
Din totalul net generat de centralele Grupului Enel în Italia si în străinătate, productia termică a reprezentat 54,0%, generarea din surse regenerabile 31,8% (hidro, eoliană, geotermală, biomasă, cogenerare si solară) si energia nucleară 14,2%.
