13Enel Green Power (EGP) a inceput lucrarile de constructie la proiectul eolian de 28 MW din zonele Chlogos (19 MW) si Prophet Elias (9 MW) de langa Corint, nord-estul peninsulei Peloponez, Grecia.
Parcul eolian din Corint va deveni operational pana in octombrie 2011. La finalizare, parcul va produce 57 de milioane de kWh de electricitate in fiecare an, acoperind nevoia de electricitate a 14.100 de consumatori casnici, se arata pe site-ul Enel Green Power.
Enel Green Power are deja o prezenta semnificativa in sectorul energiei regenerabile din Grecia. Parcurile eoliene ale EGP, cu o capacitate totala de 130 MW, sunt situate in special in Tracia, dar si in Peloponez, Evia, Creta si Dodecanese. In plus, EGP opereaza mini hidrocentrale in trei zone importante din Grecia – Grecia Centrala, Grecia de Vest si Tesalia – pentru o capacitate totala instalata de 13 MW.
