    Conform declaraţiilor primarului Gheorghe Cojocaru „momentan, totul este la stadiul de proiect. Cererea pentru certificatul de urbanism este gata însă trebuie să aşteptăm autorizaţiile necesare”. Acesta afirmă că „valoarea investiţiei este de aproximativ 150 milioane de euro. Planul conţine aproximativ 53 de turbine ceea se înseamnă o sumă de aproximativ 3 milioane de euro pe bucată.”

    Parcul va fi amplasat pe terenurile aflate în proprietatea domeniului Murfatlar şi va fi împărţit în trei zone: lângă staţiunea experimentală Valu lui Traian, în zona fermelor 4 şi 5 după canal şi în apropiere de comuna Bărăganu.

    Potrivit Cuget Liber, investitorul acestui proiect este firma Eolia Invest.
