    RWEA prognozeaza investitii de cinci miliarde de euro in energie eoliana in urmatorii trei ani, potrivit lui Ionel David citat de Capital. Din totalul investițiilor, doar 14 se realizează prin accesarea de fonduri europene (deși până în momentul de față au fost depuse 400 de proiecte, niciunul nu a mai fost semnat în ultimele 12 luni).

    Unul dintre motive se regăsește în Legea nr. 220, care reglementează producerea de energie din surse regenerabile, în curs de schimbare și lipsită încă de norme de aplicare. Potrivit lui Ionel David, consultant de comunicare în cadrul Asociaţiei Române pentru Energie Eoliană (RWEA), „în cazul unui proiect realizat prin fonduri europene, proprietarii vor primi doar câte un certificat verde pentru fiecare MWh produs, în timp ce celorlalți investitori le vor fi alocate câte două certificate, conform legii“.
