12Japonia va incepe sacrificarea a mii de bovine aflate in zona de excluziune de 20 de kilometri din jurul centralei nucleare de la Fukushima, a anuntat guvernul nipon, citat de Ziare.com.
Fermierii locali au fost nevoiti sa-si abandoneze vitele, porcii, gainile si alte animale in momentul in care autoritatile au dispus evacuarea zonei din jurul centralei Fukushima, afectata de cutremurul produs in urma cu doua luni.
Peste 10.000 de vaci, odata renumite pentru carnea si laptele lor, au fost abandonate de proprietarii lor, multe dintre ele blocate in grajduri, murind de foame, noteaza AFP.
"Am decis sa cerem prefecturii din Fukushima sa ucida animalele din interiorul zonei de 20 de kilometri, cu acordul proprietarilor. Ne cerem scuze pentru suferintele provocate persoanelor care au crescut aceste animale... Nu avem de ales", a declarat purtatorul de cuvant al Guvernului, Yukio Edano. Edano a tinut sa sublinieze ca oamenii vor fi despagubiti.
