11Operatorul centralei nucleare Fukushima, Tokyo Electric Power Co., a anuntat ca este de acord cu restructurarile drastice si taierea costurilor in schimbul unui plan guvernamental care isi propune sa ajute compania in privinta obligatiilor de compensare a oamenilor afectati de accidentul nuclear.
TEPCO, operatorul centralei Fukushima Dai-ichi, a precizat miecuri ca accepta planul de restructurare si reorganizare propus de Guvernul nipon. Pentru achitarea despagubirilor, Executivul planuieste crearea unui fond de contributii obligatorii din utilitati electrice, in cazul in care sumele totale depasesc capacitatea financiara a TEPCO, relateaza Associated Press.
TEPCO a contractat deja un imprumut de 2 trilioane de yeni (24,8 miliarde dolari) pentru a rezolva urgenta nucleara. De asemenea, va plati 50 de miliarde de yeni (620 de milioane dolari) ca parte a primelor compensari destinate celor 80.000 de oameni evacuati din jurul centralei. Totalul compensarilor va fi insa cu mult mai mare.
