13Cea mai mare nava solara din lume a navigat, pe marile si oceanele lumii, 30.000 de kilometri, fara niciun fel de combustibil clasic, folosind doar energia solara.
Cel mai mare vapor solar din lume se numeste Turanor Planetsolar. El a fost lansat pentru o calatorie in jurul lumii pe 27 septembrie 2010 si la jumatatea drumului a facut o escala la Noumea, in Noua-Caledonie.
"Calatoria de 30.000 de kilometri, pe care am strabatut-o, dupa plecarea noastra de la Monaco, din 27 septembrie 2010, s-a efectuat, in exclusivitate, datorita energiei solare," a explicat elvetianul Raphael Domjan, cel care a realizat proiectul.
