19Operatorul centralei nucleare de la Fukushima, Tepco, a inceput, marti, sa pompeze aproape 10.000 de tone de apa puternic radioactiva la reactorul 2, care blocheaza interventia angajatilor.
In urma cutremurului devastator din 11 martie, care a avariat puternic sistemele de racire ale reactoarelor de la Fukushima, sute de mii de tone de apa de mare si apa dulce au fost utilizate pentru racirea reactoarelor si pentru stoparea fusiunii combustibilului nuclear, noteaza Le Figaro.
Potrivit purtatorului de cuvant al Tepco, circa 10.000 de tone de apa contaminata vor fi transferate intr-o instalatie de tratare a deseurilor, care are o capacitate de 30.000 de tone.
Operatiunile de pompare si transferare vor dura in jur de 26 de zile, potrivit unui reprezentant al Agentiei nipone pentru siguranta nucleara.
