Swiss Alpiq Boosts Capacity of Wind Farm in Bulgaria

    Sofia, BulgariaMore info about the South East European Renewable energy market you can find if you register to attend the 7th EE & RES Congress or to visit the EE & RES Exhibition - 13-15 AprilVetrocom Limited, a subsidiary of the Swiss energy group Alpiq Holding Ltd, is set to expand up to 72.5 megawatts the capacity of its wind farm in Bulgaria, the company announced.

    It will invest EUR 36 M in the wind farm, located near the town of Kazanlak.

    The facility launched its operations in November last year with total capacity of 50MW and equipped with 20 wind turbines from the German manufacturer Fuhrländer.

    The new nine turbines should be ready by the end of 2011.
