Wind intensity measurement can be done without the installation of measurement masts. By using a device called LIDAR, wind parameters can be monitored temporarily, for 2-3 months, or even less. This device is shaped like a small container and it works on the principle of radar. It is additionally used in inaccessible places or where an investment in a permanent mast is not appropriate.
